How the chemistry sandbox works
Unlike click-anything alchemy games, this periodic table sandbox follows real chemistry. Every one of the 89 compounds is a real substance with its true chemical formula, and reactions only succeed when you pick both the right elements and the right stoichiometric ratio — two hydrogen and one oxygen make water (H₂O), while two of each make hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂). Get the elements right but the amounts wrong and the lab nudges you toward the correct recipe.
Each discovery unlocks a molecular structure diagram, hazard warnings for the dangerous ones, and a fact you can use in chemistry class. It's free, runs in any browser on desktop or phone, and pairs naturally with the interactive periodic table and the element index — every element page lists the compounds you can craft with it.
